Description: |
| The purpose of this position is to guarantee a high level of hospitality, service, and satisfaction for Lakeview Village residents and guests by assisting with the food and beverage activities in all the dining rooms across campus. This position will be located in the Southridge dining rooms. |
Duties: |
Provide and maintain a high level of service and hospitality in a team-oriented setting.
Assist with the management and supervision of all staff assigned to location
Execution of catering responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Assists with management of alcohol service in assigned location in accordance with established policies.
Management of all sanitation and safety functions and responsibilities
Ensure the care of equipment, appearance of the dining/event spaces in assigned location.
Assist with the implementation of all departmental policies and procedures, with particular focus on hospitality and service.
Assist with and participate in training and in-service programs for all assigned staff.
Maintain proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures for all Northpointe food and beverage personnel.
Assist with any records, reports, and paperwork as assigned
Assist with maintaining inventories pertaining to operation of assigned location
Communicate with other divisions of Dining Services as needed.
Develop and maintain good working rapport with non-department personnel to ensure continuous service levels to residents, their guests and outside clients.
Ensure resident’s and employee’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality and privacy.
Learn all departmental systems and serve as a relief backup operator for these systems as needed.

Qualifications: |
• GED or High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred (Hospitality management desired)
• Three (3) years progressive experience in hospitality industry or equivalent educational and experience combination
• Good communication skills—must be able to demonstrate effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
• Must have current Sanitation Certification training or receive within 3 months of hire.
• Must have current Alcohol Safety training certificate or receive within 3 months of hire and be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, special events, and weekends as assigned
• Must possess basic math and accounting skills in addition to computer literacy
• Must possess good leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills.
• Must be receptive to change and capable of handling frequent interruptions
